The Aqua Bike from STRAUSS is not a standard solution - it is the result of our own development work. With a clear goal in mind, we have designed a training device that ideally combines the special requirements of rehabilitation and competitive sport.
Made in Italy according to our specifications, the Aqua Bike impresses with a novel drive concept and intelligent evaluation of performance and vital functions in real time.
ALEA is currently examining the possibility of patenting the product.
The progressive water ergometer is intended for use in rehabilitation and sports, building on the Orber spa tradition and harnessing the health-promoting effects of brine for rehabilitation training. The Aqua Bike is used in the Aqua Tub, a tub filled with brine. It can also be used as an ergometer outside of the water.
The design language of the Aqua Bike is derived from the trigonal BALNOVA architecture. The frame geometry is also inspired by high-end racing bikes. For prototype development, the design team is working with an Italian manufacturer specializing in sophisticated carbon production, which enjoys a strong reputation in yacht and sports car construction, among other areas. The material offers many advantages, including its brine resistance and extremely low weight.
